Calling Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard, Dr. Manhattan

There is nothing better than discovering a new band. Last summer at Rockfest in Waukegan Jesse invited Dr. Manhattan. They were the last band to perform and, let me tell you, it was well worth the wait. I was really impressed by their unique sound and ability to project their energy to the crowd. There were people dancing and running around and I found myself bopping my head. They have a guitarist, bassist, keyboard-ist (hee hee), and drummer. Jesse acquired a CD from the band that night and as soon as we got home I put them on my ipod. Jesse and I went to see them perform live at the Metro in Chicago Feb. 17th. The place was pretty packed and within 2 minutes of their first song I ditched my beer to be up front with the crazies. I felt like I was 18 again, screaming after every song, singing along to their lyrics, I don't know what came over me. I guess that tells you a lot about the band right there. They really know how to put on a great show for their audience and I can't wait to see them again. Check them out at their myspace page.
