Ohio

I just got back from Ohio today and usually my trips there are pretty uneventful as far as adventure & excitement but this trip is actually worth talking about. This was the first trip I have gone on w/out my manager Sassy so I was the hostess to one of our financial planners, Mike. Mike was invited to present a seminar on financial management at all three sites we visit. First of all our visit wasn't widely advertised to the employees so only two people came to the seminar on the first day and none the next two days. It snowed like crazy Tues night through Wed morning. We got 5 inches of snow and freezing rain which made driving conditions just aweful and this was my first time driving while traveling. I ended up with a minivan rental, which surprisingly handled well in the snow, but the sliding side door broke on Tues it wouldn't shut all the way. So Mike and I are driving around in this red minivan w/ a broken door and low tire. Everytime I started to accelerate this annoying dinging sound let me know the door was ajar. On Wed morning it took us a half hour to chip away about 3 inches of ice off the car and when we got to the site we had to unload boxes in about 3 inches of slush then I had to park the car in a parking lot so far away it could have been Illinois. I am so thankful that Mike has a sense of humor because we mostly laughed about all our mishaps and hardships we were encountering on this trip. I know that if Sassy had been with me there would have been a lot of, "For the love of Peter" being thrown about, that's her favorite saying instead of swearing. Mike did have a couple of appointments to speak w/ members indivually and a few members who had some good questions for him. I got 7 new accounts and 2 loan applications so it wasn't a total bust. This is definately one trip I will never forget.
